Parking

StFX Safety & Security Services administers, authorizes and enforces parking on campus.
The purchase of a Parking Permit is not required as the University does not guarantee a place to park.

Daily Parking

All students and employees who park on campus between 6 AM and 1 AM will be required to register their vehicle with Safety & Security Services, and display a tag that designates their vehicle as authorized for daily parking.  There is no charge for a parking tag for the 2017-18 year (September 1st, 2017 – August 31st, 2018).

Parking is on a first-come-first serve basis. Students and employees are asked to adhere to posted parking regulations as well as demonstrate good parking etiquette consistent with the community code of conduct as outlined in the rights and responsibilities sections.

Registering vehicles aids in tracking campus parking and will allow StFX to have a better understanding of how the parking areas are used. It will also make it easier to distinguish between student/employee parking, and others who are parking on the StFX campus. Finally, it allows Safety & Security services to contact the vehicle driver if necessary.

Students and employees can register their vehicles online or in person at Safety & Security Services.

PAID PARKING

Please be advised that StFX plans to implement a paid parking system beginning in September 2018.

Over the coming months, the university will determine parking fees and an appropriate permit system. When determined, this information will be shared with the campus community. It is our hope that a paid system will further reduce traffic congestion, helping StFX become a more pedestrian-centric campus.
