Students are employed with the Campus Security team to work alongside fulltime security personnel. The StFX Security team is a group of individuals motivated to work in a high performance environment responsible for promoting and maintaining a safe, secure and healthy campus.
The StFX Security Services department assumes full administrative and operational responsibility for the security staff team to provide campus wide patrols, residence service support, event security, duty phone services, and to support other security functions. Campus Security works in partnership with Conference Services, Alumni Affairs, Faculty Management and other university departments.
Student staff receive extensive training prior to and throughout the academic year. If you are a current StFX student, in good standing, you may be interested in serving your campus community by joining the Campus Security Team. click here

Emergency First Response
The Emergency First Response (EFR) Team works large scale public events on campus to provide first aid care to persons in need. Qualified student staff are stationed and on-call at events like X-Ring, Convocations, sporting events, and public assemblies generally with audiences or participants over 1,000 people.
The EFR Team members hold current qualifications/skills for emergency response including, but not limited to advanced first aid, CPR and evacuation procedures. This on-site team works as the first response in concert with campus security, campus police, and local paramedic services. click here
The EFR personnel are accountable to the Division of Security Services under the Office of Recruitment and Student Experience.
