There are two convocation ceremonies per year, one in December and one in May.  Students who complete their degree or diploma requirements during a fall term cannot graduate until the following spring convocation.  Degrees and diplomas can only be conferred at these two annual convocation ceremonies.

Students who expect to complete their degree or diploma requirements must apply to graduate via the Degree/Diploma Application Form in mesAMIS.  Students who fail to apply for graduation will not have their academic records auditted to determine eligibility to graduate and will therefore not graduate at the next available convocation.  Deadlines for applications to graduate are contained in the Calendar of Events for each convocation ceremony.

After applying to graduate, students can check the status of their application in mesAMIS.

Students who are in financial arrears at the time of convocation will not receive their actual degree/diploma parchment at the ceremony.

Graduates who do not attend the convocation ceremony at which their degree or diploma is conferred will have their parchments mailed to the most recent home mailing address stored for them in the student information system.

StFX degree parchments are issued in Latin. Click here to view the English translation.
